What this quote means to me is that we made a big mistake in the Great Depression but we should learn from our mistakes.  Just by learning why the Great Depression took place we can know never to fall in those footsteps. To prevent another Great Depression the bank should stop making loans to people and they should save all the extra money they have instead of spending on things we don't need.
